gPortal for 4x Now Available at gMed

October 2011 Weston, FL - gMed is pleased to announce that gPortal, gMed's proprietary patient portal, is now available for gGastro, gCardio, and gUro version 4x clients.

Unlike many generic patient portals, gPortal is a fully integrated solution that allows practices to get closer to patients by establishing a direct link between physician and patient. That means no double entry, and no transcribing information from gPortal into the EMR system.

Patients have 24/7 access from any location, allowing them to register information, request appointments, update records, and send messages. gMed has also added new and improved features to gPortal for 4x that were not previously available to gCare 3x users.

The new version is hosted at gMed's state-of-the-art datacenter to facilitate secure access for all patients via the internet at low cost to the practice and without any extra hardware. gPortal is also 100% Meaningful Use compliant.
