gMed, a Modernizing Medicine Company, Announces OAS CAHPS Reporting Capabilities

Data submission facilitated for early voluntary compliance

Boca Raton, Fla. – May 3, 2017gMed™, a Modernizing Medicine® company and developer of the award-winning gGastro™ electronic health record (EHR) system, is proud to announce that it now can report Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems Outpatient and Ambulatory Surgery Survey (OAS CAHPS) data to select vendors.

OAS CAHPS asks consumers and patients to report on and evaluate their experiences with healthcare. This survey is currently voluntary, but will be mandatory for ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) certified by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) beginning in 2018. By starting to use this feature now, ASCs can evolve their processes and be better prepared for mandatory reporting.
