It is our great pleasure to announce that gMed successfully converted its first client from gCare2 (3.x) to gGastro (4.x). The client, located in Jupiter, FL, went live with gGastro on Monday, May 24th, 2010 and is not looking back! Users are very pleased with both, the conversion process and software. Glenn Fennell, the Practice Administrator, believes "gGastro represents a new step toward a renewed and improved EMR. It will assist us in improving patient care, which is our ultimate goal. gGastro allows us better communication between the physician, patients, and pharmacies."
This is the successful result of a project that dates back a few months. While gMed's conversion and software engineering teams deserve much credit, our client's level of engagement and enthusiasm ensured the project's winning outcome. Their eagerness to learn the application prior to go-live and to dedicate the necessary time on gMedUniversity.com and at gMed University in Weston, FL proved a valuable investment.
A pre-training strategy is effective and exponentially decreases the need for on-site go-live training. Juan, the assigned gMed trainer, indicated "Due to the client's extensive preparation and pre-training I spent my time mostly fine-tuning the application to the specific preferences of users. There was no need for the intensive training we typically deliver during a traditional go-live implementation." gGastro is also considerably more intuitive than its predecessor, which greatly facilitates the transition from gCare2.
This client joins over 35 gMed customers already using the 4.x platform in their practice. We already have other conversion projects in the works with an expected go-live for July. While the conversion process proved effective, we continue refining it to offer a smooth transition for future conversion clients.
gMed re-engineered its complete EMR solution to achieve greater efficiencies and ease-of-use. Doing so has paved the way for gMed to continue expanding our solutions on a faster and scalable platform, which translates into a more flexible, better performing EMR solution. Very few companies can achieve this goal, especially without charging clients for new licenses. This further illustrates gMed's philosophy of re-investment and its commitment to improve our clients operation so that they can provide better care for patients.
If you have not already done so, please contact us at conversion@gmed.com to schedule a meeting to discuss your conversion project.
